Essex based Dr Adept was established in 1998 providing Training, IT Consultancy, Website Design and Website Development to a wide range of UK and worldwide clients, giving support and advice on all computer related issues.
As an IT Consultant working mainly in the Essex area David had worked for other people for a long time, yet always considering going solo but never actually taking that step, until a government training company he worked for was closed due to cutbacks.
That was enough for him, redundancy money was next to nothing but he spent 6 months learning about setting up his own business in the form of a business start-up training scheme to get a little knowledge which identified strengths and weaknesses and connected him with other start-ups.
Having a good client base to begin was a blessing, Allwood, John Kay, Boyer and John Holloway were some of the individuals and companies he had dealt with over the years and who supported him in the first year as well as friends and family, this was vital as without them he feels he may not have survived.
There is no good or bad time to start a business it is just "the time" when you are ready or if you are pushed, either way you don't know until you try.
Based in Essex (UK) Dr Adept offer a complete full Content Management System, enabling our clients to take control of their websites and update pages quickly and efficiently, this CMS has been developed since 2001 entirely by Dr Adept in-house and to the specification and requirements of our clients.
Whatever your requirements Dr Adept handles all forms of graphic design and website design and can handle your complete corporate image needs down to converting your signature to a font and logos to fonts and bitmaps to vector graphics.
